Special sessions in IE aim to develop specialized discussions and stimulate further analysis on relevant and emergent subjects within the conference topics (e.g., AI, IoT, smart cities, data fusion, robotics, smart industry, smart transportation, smart agriculture, smart government and society etc.).
Proposals should be submitted by email to the Special Session Chairs, Sunil Choenni (sunilchoenni@gmail.com) and Aditya Santokhee (a.santokhee@mdx.ac.mu) before 10 September 2024. Decision on proposals will be communicated on 20 September 2024.
In the proposal, please include the following information:
- Title of the proposed special session;
- Description of the importance of the topic and the rationale for the proposal;
- A brief curriculum vitae of the proponent(s);
- A plan about how many submissions are expected to be attracted to the special session.
The list of the accepted special sessions will be published on the conference website, and they will be part of the main conference. Submissions for the special sessions will follow the same guidelines as for main track submissions (details to be given after acceptance).
For those special sessions that will eventually be held in IE, a free conference registration pass will be granted to one of the special sessions’ organizers.
